2nd Chances?

2nd Chances are hard to come by.  In the other Wes Moore, Wes shot a boy who was with the girl he hooked up with.He had the chance to correct his mistakes. However, he did not take advantage of his 2nd chance. Many people who commit acts that can be regretted, they wish that they could take back whatever they do. There was once a time in my life where I was granted a second chance. Unlike the other Wes Moore, I did not take this chance for granted and I made sure I did not make the same mistake twice. It started in middle school where my parents noticed that I was unusually short in middle school. I almost always thought about being tall and wanted to become taller regardless of what means I would have to take. My parents took me to the Endocrinologist and they decided to run tests on me. The Importance of Family

  The Other Wes Moore is a story about two people who both have the same names. However, they both live completely different lives. The author is the Wes Moore who lost his father due to the fact that his father's doctors were negligent. The other Wes Moore had a father who was an addict. Throughout the first three chapters, there are themes that revolve around the importance of family, violence, and loss. The main focus is the importance of both parents in a family and how it could affect a child. Loss is the factor of losing something or someone. In the first chapter, both Wes Moore’s faced loss because both of their father left their lives. Wes Moore’s father died due to poor hospital care. Other Wes Moore’s father was not around since he was addicted to alcohol. However, both their mother’s were present when their father’s weren’t.
